Feng Shui (pronounced Fung Schway) means "the way of wind and water" or "the shady side of the hill". It is based on ancient Taoist philosophy, a lot of concentrated common sense, good design principles and aesthetics, and the desire to live in harmony with the natural world. We are profoundly affected by the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, colors, and textures of our environment and need to become more aware of these influences. We can also empower ourselves by manifesting and enhancing health, wealth, creativity, relationships, etc., by having specific areas of our homes designated to hold the intent and symbols of the aspect of our lives we want to affect and change. |

Feng Shui is both practical and mystical. The tenets of Feng Shui offer sound ergonomic advice and help people create nurturing and productive environments. Feng Shui is an earth based art based on the concepts of Yin and Yang, the Five Elements and the flow of Ch'i or energy. There are many rules, but individual needs always come first. Feng Shui is fast becoming a legitimate and popular design tool, but most important, Feng Shui works. |
